In 1988, Dennis began what he didn't know would become a way of life, building and repairing guitars. He first began doing repairs for himself and friends, "for free of course" just because he loved the work. Then as time went on, local guitar shops and shops as far away as 1600 miles, began to call on him to do their repairs. By this time he had a desire to make this art of a Luthier his living.

Dennis then, was able to build up his tooling and machinery with the money he made doing repairs.   His knowledge increased in the selection of tonewoods as he trained himself with all the 
information he could get. Dennis collected a library of books and tapes from the best builders around, even other luthiers near by were of great assistance in developing his skill. 

Since 1997 guitar making became full time for Dennis. It has been said, that what it took some other builders (luthiers) to do in twenty tears, Dennis was able to accomplish in three years. This could not have been done in any other way except through God!! Much of, if not all the tooling and jigs had to be fabricated in his shop, since most of such are not readily available. 

His past employment has helped him with the skills to do this. Dennis has had some years of training in the field of machinist, industrial millwright mechanic, and fifteen years as a welder fitter fabricator a great asset to the trade of Luthiery.   

Now we at Kwasnycia, offer a wide array of materials in the construction of all our instruments and the finest quality attainable. Upon receiving your order, we take the greatest care in selecting the materials for each instrument so that your finished guitar will be exactly as you ordered. 

We also offer a wide variety of acoustic steel string guitars from our 14 5/8 small concert with its stunning resonance and response, through our 16 inch small jumbo and our K-45 (which is like a 1954 slope shoulder Gibson J45), to our 17 inch jumbo instruments with a voice that is rich and powerful. We have now added a Martin style Dreadnaught and OOO 12 Fret Guitar to our body styles. 

Our standards in our shop are, if its not perfect it doesn't leave the shop. The craftsmanship is of the utmost and every job no matter how tedious is carried out to the highest degree. The shop is kept at 70-75 degrees and the humidity at 40-45 percent. All our materials are air dried before construction
